![]() Might not be the best way to gain influence compared to sheer investors, but it's fun to play with these things conceptually. It really spices the game up a little bit! For example, I can make islands exclusively made of engineers, then use the policy "gain influence for each Engineer Residence". But even if you don't plan on doing that, the more simpler and readily available upgrade to animal farms via silos is super helpful early game! Makes life easier!Ĥ) Seat of Power - I love the Palace and its' bonuses, as well as taking this into consideration on my satellite islands and playing around with it. The addition of scholars is also a HUGE one, since they make everything researchable, which means that you can really get into optimizing your stuff in the very late game with specialists in town halls and trade unions.ģ) Bright Harvest - At first I wouldn't think that I would be ranking it this high up, but I now do, due to the sheer fact that it GREATLY pumps your agricultural economy in almost all regions! At mid-late game, it's fun to set up the agricultural industry with tractors and oil routes in several regions. I have since not touched on the treasure diving since Land of Lions due to scholars, but it is still a good addition to the game, and back then it was one of the better ways to get items.Ģ) Land of Lions - The addition of a new session that is a tad bit more elaborate than the New World, without the sheer tediousness of the Arctic session is very much appreciated! I love not only the theme of bringing life and productivity in desert islands, but also the added fun challenge to it (make snaking rivers for your agricultural farms!). Add the fact that it has a cool story and a mini-game included in Treasure diving. I will rank mine in terms of how impactful they are on my gameplay and taste (not so much for price relation):ġ) Sunken Treasures - For the simple fact that this DLC adds Crown Falls: the biggest, most practical main base you can have in the "Old World" region (even if it's technically on another session). Hello there! Nice topic you got going on here! I like seeing the different takes on what makes the DLCs good :) There is no way you can make a DLC as deep, good and long as LoL or ST without adding a zone. Because that price isn't justified without a new zone. Since its already a sure thing that Season 3 won't add a new zone it better be way cheaper than Season 1 and 2. Season 3 pass feels tricky, best (and most expensive) DLCs are the ones that add (good) new zones. ![]() I do however have it because of the pass. : Bright Harvest - Probably cool, but I work with a mod that makes farms and their field sizes irrelevant so I don't feel Im the right person to judge this DLC. Will start a new game without it even though I own it. A cool map, good story and actual game features that help the other zonesĢ: Sunken Treasures - Very good map you cant do without, other bits less impressive.ģ: Seat of Power - Palace is a pretty nice edition that actually effects gameplayĤ: Botanica - I like working on my garden, its not bad for its priceĥ: The Passage - The artic just sucks, bad story, terrible map and very disconnected from the rest of the game. Quick ranking of DLCs IMO (in relation to their price):ġ: LoL - Adds the most. Way more so than for example the Palace does. A map that actually feels new, chains that actually feel new and with the Research Institute something that really adds something to the game and has cross zone impact.
